Winter Fantasy Barbie wears a blue velveteen gown with white faux fur trim, muff, and ornamented headpiece. In 1989 Mattel began changing Barbie's doll's earrings from clear plastic with a "diamond" to painted metallic-looking earrings. Red and blue earrings stained some doll's ears; known example is this Winter Fantasy Barbie with blue earrings. Winter Fantasy Barbie replacement head was mailed to customers who complained about the earrings. The head has the hair ornament in her hair, but the replacement doll's earrings are silver. | |
