Edgar Degas immortalized beautiful prima ballerinas in his world-famous paintings.  Now, for the first time ever, fine bisque porcelain Barbie dolls were created, inspired by his most lovely ballerinas.

Dressed in a classic ballet gown with a corset-style bodice, delicate chiffon sleeves, and a multi-pleated tulle skirt, she is the personification of grace. The layers of her skirt are various hues, evoking a similar palette to Degas’ paintings. Flowers accent her shoulder and waist, with a lovely organza bow in the back. She wears a simple black silk ribbon at her neck, and ivory ballet slippers. And true to the paintings that inspired her, Barbie doll’s brunette hair is styled in a chignon bun and decorated with flowers. Pink and orange flowers with faux pearls accent her lovely outfit. Sparkling nude pantyhose and pink ballet slippers with pink ribbons complete her look. Barbie also has a pink ribbon wrapped around her neck.
